Tunnel House . . .
Growth in the tunnel house is coming to an end. Today I picked a few raspberries. The raspberries that grow outside have long finished but I get another three months of picking from the tunnel house. I will get one more picking before winter. These ones might just be my treat while I prepare the house for winter planting lol. Today I removed the netting that has been covering them. The cheeky birds still manage to
find these delicacies even inside. I have discovered that the tags on bread bags are just perfect for attaching the netting to the string. I love this recycling of what would otherwise by rubbish.
I was also excited to see that the cape gooseberry is still flowering and producing a few pods.
On the way out of the tunnel house I noticed the beetroot and thought I had better get organised and harvest the last of it. These I will take to the house and bottle.
